Prison Education and Life After Prison Programme

This programme aims to provide individuals serving prison sentences and those who have completed their sentences with opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and capabilities, enabling them to prepare for and build productive, independent and sustainable futures. For individuals serving prison sentences, the programme shall facilitate access to education, vocational and technical training, digital literacy, personal development, entrepreneurship skills and other learning opportunities that strengthen their prospects after release. For individuals who have completed their prison sentences, the programme shall provide opportunities for further education, vocational training, employment and self-employment, entrepreneurship development, family reconnection and community reintegration. Eligible participants may also receive voluntary transitional accommodation and essential support where appropriate. Activities within prisons shall be undertaken in coordination with, and subject to the approval of, the relevant authorities.
